Alberta Kay Lucas

Alberta Kay Lucas, 80, of Scott City, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Parkview Heights Care Center of Garnett, Kansas.

She was born on August 20, 1944, to Floyd and Eileen (Schmitt) Strickert in Scott City, KS. 

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Alberta is survived by her son, Troy Lucas, and wife Lisa of Ottawa, KS. Three grandchildren, Kaylee Silvers (Jake) of Paola, KS. Alisyn Lucas of Paola, KS, and Cody Lucas (Chandler) of Olathe, KS. Younger sister Kate of Hays, KS. and younger brother Dick Strickert (Debbie) of Wichita, KS.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen Strickert, and father, Floyd Strickert

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Scott County VIP Center in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 552, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.

Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. 

There will be no calling times.
