Barbara L. Nightengale

Barbara L. Nightengale, age 70, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She was born on January 10, 1955 in Merced, California, the daughter of Arthur and Lucille Dirks Friesen. A resident of the Pence Community since 1977, moving from Atwater, California, she was a homemaker and Office manager at Heartland Mill in Marienthal, Kansas.

She was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas.

On February 27, 1977 she married Mark Nightengale in Winton, California. He survives.

Survivors include her Husband - Mark Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Ashlyn Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Heidi Nightengale of Greeley, Colorado, Two Sisters - Andree’ Litwiller of Farmington, Kentucky, Cindy Koehn of Cheraw, South Carolina, Two Brother In Laws - James Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas, and Charles Nightengale of Scott City, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and her Father & Mother In Law.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas with Charles Nightengale presiding.

Memorials in Lieu of Flowers can be made to the Scott Mennonite Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.

Interment will be held in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery in Pence, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026 and 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2026 @ Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
