Billie J. Hunt, age 85, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2023, at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. He was born on April 2, 1937 in Scott City, Kansas to Arthur and Opal Fern Mast Hunt. He was a farmer and loved all animals, especially his dogs. He was a lifelong resident of Scott City.

Survivors include his niece Marsha & Randy Heronemus of Leoti, Kansas, three nephews Brett Hunt of Leoti, Kansas, Bart Hunt of Leoti, Kansas and Bill & Gail Hunt of Leoti, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Jeanie Hunt, one brother and sister-in-law Bert & Pearl Hunt.

Graveside service will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with Terry Laws presiding. 

Memorials in Lieu of flowers may be given to the Scott County Animal Rescue.

There will be no visiting hours.
