Carl Eugene Le Blanc, age 74, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born in La Junta, Colorado, on November 9, 1951, to Rudy and Velma McDowell Le Blanc. They moved to Tribune in the early 60s, and Carl continued to call Tribune home for the rest of his life.
Carl worked in the Gas Fields as a mechanic before his retirement. He was an active member of the Mason Lodge #417 of Sharon Springs, Kansas. He also had a passion for rescuing dogs.
Survivors include his children, James Le Blanc of Holyoke, Colorado, Laurie Pratt of Buckeye, Arizona, two sisters, Cherie Le Blanc-Dyba of Miles City, Montana, Pamela Le Blanc-Grimm of Centerville, Iowa, one brother, Terry Le Blanc of Missoula, Montana, his grandchildren, Cole, Laurie, Seth, and Cheyenne, and his dearest friend, Kathy Durham.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Louise Brown.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas, with the Masonic Lodge #417 of Sharon Springs providing Masonic Funeral Rites.
Memorials may be written to “Meals on Wheels” or “Masonic Lodge #417 of Sharon Springs, Kansas” in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 161, Leoti, KS 67861.
There will be no visitation.
