Charles Knowlton

Charles A. Knowlton, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.  Charles was born on October 31, 1946 in Garden City, Kansas.  Charles served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge # 1404 of Garden City, the Kansas Jaycees of WaKeeney, Kansas, the American Legion Post # 369 of Copeland, Kansas and the WaKeeney Racing Association of WaKeeney, Kansas.

On September 7, 1968 he married Mary Ann Medina in Leoti, Kansas.  She survives of the home.

Other Survivors include: Two children, Jeannine & Eric Hassell of Leoti, Kansas, Justin Knowlton & Dege O’Hair of Laverne, Oklahoma;    One Sister, Lorretta Seemann of Frankston, Texas, One Step Sister, Pam & Paul Pavlu of Brownell, Kansas; Six Grandchildren, Tanner Hassell of Leoti, Kansas, Parker Hassell of Leoti, Kansas, Hunter Hassell of Leoti, Kansas, Rhylie O’Hair of Laverne, Oklahoma; Evan Knowlton of Cimarron, Kansas, Stephanie Knowlton of Garden City, Kansas, Jessika Knowlton of Pierciville, Kansas; One great- Grandchild, Xavier Knowlton of Cimarron, Kansas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

His mother, Mildred McDonald and Step-Father, Mervin McDonald, precede Charles in death.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.

Private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the American Gratitude, Inc. in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes, 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
