Ayden Meza

Christopher Ayden Meza, age 11, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on March 19, 2014, in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Carlos A. & Laura E. Meza. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas he was a student at Scott City Middle School in Scott City, Kansas.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas. Ayden enjoyed sports, video games, especially Fortnite, loved being with his family & friends, the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets.  He was an aspiring trumpet player and a proud mama’s boy.

Survivors include his Parents - Carlos & Laura Meza of Scott City, Kansas, Two Brothers - Paco Banda & Gaby Garcia of Dodge City, Kansas, Junior Meza of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Stephanie & Zach Valdez of Wichita, Kansas, Camila Meza of Scott City, Kansas, Grandparents - Oscar & Martha Gutierrez of Scott City, Kansas, Lorenzo & Eva Meza of Garden City, Kansas, One Nephew - Adriel Valdez of Wichita, Kansas, Numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Friends, and extended family, and his dog - Zeus.

He was preceded in death by his Great Grandmother - Jesucita Rodriguez.

Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas, with Fr. Don Bedore presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.

Public Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington Street, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
