Jackie Dean Dizmang

Jackie Dean Dizmang, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. Jack was born on September 10, 1941, in Hoarce, Kansas, to Charles O. Dizmang Sr. and Beulah E. Ingraham Dizmang Kennady.

He enlisted in the US Army in 1958. While stationed in Germany in 1960, he met his wife, Margit. They married on January 11, 1961, in Karlsruhe, Germany, and were married for 55 wonderful years. After returning stateside in 1962 with an honorable discharge, they lived in various places, including Park City, Kansas. In the early 1970s, he was an owner and a driver of multiple racing cars and raced primarily at the 81 Speedway in Park City. They settled in Leoti, Kansas in 1975, where he continued his enthusiasm for racing by supporting local area drivers as pit crew and mechanic into the 1980’s.

He was the parts manager at Big A Auto Parts in the mid-1970’s to early 1990’s and at Cargill in the late 1990’s until his retirement in 2008.

He had a natural talent for all things automotive and enjoyed rebuilding motors as well as fixing up old cars and trucks.

He spent his last year at Park Place Independent Living and Park Haven Residential Health Care in Scott City, Kansas.

He is survived by his daughter Heidi Rogers and her children Spencer, Hunter and Kelcey Rogers, all of Raleigh North Carolina; sisters, Bernida Paramore of McPherson, Kansas, Lillian Swartz and husband Richard of Sharon Springs Kansas; brothers, Ronnie Dizmang and wife Kathy of La Junta Colorado., Bob Dizmang of Wichita, Kansas, Harold Dizmang and wife Francis of Garden City Kansas, Donnie Dizmang of Nickerson Kansas; and a vast number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Margit, his son Michael; parents, Charles Sr. and Beulah, and his brothers, Charles Jr. and Jimmie.

Graveside Memorial services will be at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

There will be no visitation.
