Jerry Lee Huddleston

Jerry Lee Huddleston, age 72, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Greeley County Health Services in Tribune, Kansas. He was born on February 4, 1954, in Tribune, Kansas, to Howard B. Huddleston and Lillian M. Luekenga Kubo. He was a Journeyman Lineman for Wheatland Electric for 29 1/2 years. He graduated with the class of 1973.

A lifelong member of the Tribune Community, he was deeply involved with numerous groups and activities: a volunteer firefighter, a reserve officer for the Sheriff’s Department, the Greeley County Historical Society, the Greeley County Amusement Association, a member of the Arbor Day Foundation, a member of the VFW Auxiliary 7521 & life member of the VFW National Home. He loved to pitch horseshoes and was involved with the Tribune Bowl and co-owner of the Tribune Family Theater.

On June 11, 1977, Jerry Married Joyce E. Ray in a ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, Kansas. She survives.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; his sons Douglas Ray Huddleston of Olathe, Kansas, David James Huddleston of Tribune, Kansas, mom Roberta L. Huddleston of Smithville, Missouri; a brother, James R. & Elaine Huddleston of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Catherine E. Huddleston of Smithville, Missouri and Gail & John Ogle of Russell, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Doris Ray of Sun City, Arizona; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lillian; stepfather, Ben Kubo; brothers, Larry Dean Huddleston and John F. Huddleston; nephew, Mark Samuel Huddleston; and brother-in-law, Forrest E. Ray.

Memorial Services will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Tribune, Kansas, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. Mountain Time. Inurnment will follow at the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas.
