Joel Rene Reyna, age 66, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on March 18, 1960, in El Campo, Texas, the son of Renaldo and Tiadora Vera Reyna. A resident of Scott City, Kansas, since 1997, moving from Brownfield, Texas, and was a mechanic and worked for B&H Paving for 30 years.
He was a member of the Catholic Faith. Joel loved working as a Mechanic; he was a good boss, enjoyed listening to music, was a good provider, and loved his children and grandchildren.
Joel and Aurora Reyna have been together since 1991 and were married in 2018 in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors include his Wife - Aurora Reyna of Scott City, Kansas, Six Children - Jenette Reyna of Brownfield, Texas, James Reyna of Brownfield, Texas, Robert Luna of Immokalee, Florida, Balentin Luna of Scott City, Kansas, Adam Luna of Scott City, Kansas, Miracle Leal of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister - Mamie Guetierez of Lubbock, Texas, and Seventeen Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Three Brothers - Jose R. Reyna, Jesus R. Reyna, Juan Gonzalez, One Son - Jeremy Reyna, and one Grandson - Brandon Luna.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30, a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas, with Kyle Evans presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials in lieu of Flowers may be written to the Joel Reyna Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Scott City, Kansas.
