Judson P. Price Sr., age 96, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the Sunrise of Sandy Senior Living Center in Sandy, Utah. He was born on April 21, 1930, in Sabetha, Kansas, the son of Lyle Phillips and Ruth Mildred Hall Price. He was the past owner and operator of Price & Sons Funeral Homes. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Jud moved to Scott City, Kansas, in 1961 from Coffeyville, Kansas, and began working for Carl Weinmann at Weinmann Funeral Home. He purchased Weinmann-Price Funeral Home in 1983, when it became Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Jud & Jody retired in 1995, moving to Green Valley, Arizona, and then moved to the Salt Lake City, Utah area in 2010.
Jud was a past member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas, Masonic Lodge #284, Scott City Shrine Club, Scott City Lions Club, and was a past board member of several local boards.
On June 6, 1954, he married Joanne T. Beaver in Melrose, Massachusetts. She survives.
Survivors include his Wife - Jody Price of Sandy, Utah, Four Sons - Stephen & Jeanette Price of Ottawa, Kansas, Scott & Nancy Price of Sandy, Utah, Jud & Ann Price of Washington, Missouri, Chris & Suzette Price of Scott City, Kansas, Nine Grandchildren, and Sixteen Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Two Sisters - Dorothy Nelms and Helen Price, Four Brothers - Alfred Price, Donald Price, Max Price, and Robert Price.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas, with Steve Payne presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials In Lieu of Flowers may be written to the Hopes Closet or Park Lane Nursing Home in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026, at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
