Julie Anne Janssen, 63, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Denver Hospice Center in Denver, Colorado. She was born on November 5, 1961 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Allen Lee and Maxine Pearl Turner Binns. She was a lifetime resident of Scott City, KS, and a 1979 graduate of Scott Community High School. She worked most of her life as a customer service representative, most recently at Midwest Energy."
Julie enjoyed relaxing on her patio or at a campsite with Troy and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids - Casen Winderlin; Graham and Ingrid Brown; Stormy, Sydney, and Maxwell Robertson; and Anne and Truman Janssen.
On December 14, 1990, Julie married Troy Janssen in Loveland Colorado. He survives.
She was a dedicated farm-wife, supporting the family farm with harvest meals and unwavering emotional support. She will be remembered by her contagious smile that welcomed family, friends, and strangers alike.
Survivors include her Husband - Troy Janssen of Scott City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Jessica and Joshua Brown of Happy Valley, Oregon, Shelly and Cody Robertson of Littleton, Colorado, Three Sons - Corbin and Elizabeth Janssen of Scott City, Kansas, Chandler Janssen of Fort Myers, Florida, Jason Winderlin of Troy, Missouri, Three Brothers - Mike and Debbie Binns of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Tim and Calene Binns of Derby, Kansas, Julian and Karla Binns of Wichita, Kansas, One Sister - Susan and Harold Irwin of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister-in-law - Laurel Binns of Scott City, Kansas and Eight Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Porter Binns and Richard Binns.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Jeff Goetzinger presiding.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
