Luella M. Roemer, age 90, passed away on January 7, 2020 at her home in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born April 3, 1929 in Gove County, Kansas, the daughter of Wilton H. and Mabel Tuxford Bowman. She graduated from Kennewick High School in Kennewick, Washington. Luella was a lifetime resident of Healy, Kansas.
On September 14, 1949 Luella married L. Elmer Roemer in the Healy United Methodist Church of Healy, Kansas. She was a homemaker, enjoying quilting and sewing crafts. She was a member of the Healy United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Rebekah Lodge. She had been election supervisor for the Lewis Township and served as a leader for the Healy Sunflower 4-H Club.
Survivors include daughters Cheryl Tomson of Lenexa, Kansas and Mary and son-in-law Chuck Elliott of Overland Park, Kansas, son Earl and daughter-in-law Barbara Roemer of Scott City, Kansas, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, a son-in-law, a granddaughter, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on January 18, 2020 at the Healy cemetery Healy, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the Healy United Methodist Church.
