Mavis Jane Holland, age 81, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at her home in Scott County, Kansas. She was born on September 10, 1940, in Leachville, Arkanas, the daughter of Murel and Melisie Keltner Cox. Mavis had been a resident of Scott County since 2000 moving from Ballard County in Western Kentucky. She was a dietician.
Mavis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include her daughter, Alonna Mantzke & Juan Carrera of Scott City, Kansas, her grandson, Steven & Renee Howell of Scott City, Kansas, her granddaughter, Mellissa Powell of Scott City, Kansas, her great-grandson, Baylyn & Kassandra Mantzke of Leoti, Kansas, her sister Sylvia Pullman of Arizona, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Willard Crabtree Jr., and Murel Crabtree.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
