Melanie A. Nevills, age 55, of Jackson, New Hampshire passed from this world on March 4th, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on May 19th, 1968, in Stafford, Kansas. She attended school in Hesston, Kansas and graduated from High school there in 1986. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate from Wichita State University, graduating with high honors.
She married Kyle Nevills on August 17th, 1990; they were married for 33 years. From this marriage they had two sons—Parker and Hayden. Melanie was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was active in her congregations. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt.
She is survived by her husband Kyle Nevills of Jackson, New Hampshire, her two sons Parker Nevills of Dallas, Texas and Hayden Nevills of Overland Park, Kansas, her mother Cheryl Clayton of North Newton, Kansas, her sister Michelle Ostlund and her husband Jeff of Mt.Hope, Kansas, her brother Matthew Clayton of North Newton, Kansas, and her beloved silky terrier Izzy. She had many nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father—Frank Clayton.
There will be two memorial services to celebrate her life. The first service will be held at the Church of Christ in Newton, Kansas, 101 Columbus Ave, at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024. The second service will be held at the Church of Christ in Garden City, Kansas, 1715 Pioneer Rd, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
