Phillip W. Yost, age 68, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on September 30, 1952, in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Walter L. and Sylvia M. Schmidt Yost. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 26 years before retiring.
Phillip was a member of the NRA.
In 1984 he married Ruth Clark in Leoti. Then in the early 1990‘s he met his life partner, Pam Babcock. She passed away on September 24, 2019, in Hays, Kansas.
Survivors include his Son - Cody & Aubrey Yost of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister - Charlotte & Bob Mininger of Hardinsburg, Indiana, and Two Grandchildren - Owen Yost and Alyssa Yost of Scott City, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Life Partner - Pam Babcock, and One Sister - Sharon Hughes.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2021, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas with Charles Nightengale presiding. Services will be streamed live on Facebook at Price and Sons Funeral Home page (www.facebook.com/priceandsons) starting at 1:55 p.m.
Interment will be in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery in Pence, Kansas.
Memorials in Lieu of Flowers can be made to the Scott County Hospital in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; PO Box 553; Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
