Ricky Kessler

Ricky (Rick) Ladell Kessler, age 69, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at his home in Leoti, Kansas. Rick was born to Frank and Isabelle Wright Kessler on April 30, 1957, in Scott City, Kansas. Rick was a lifetime resident of the community. Rick worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for a total of 34 years until his retirement.

Rick married Ruth Dreiling in Leoti, Kansas, on September 16, 1976.

Rick is survived by his daughters, Tara Jennings of LaCrosse, Kansas, and Erica & Lonnie Basgall of Hutchinson, Kansas, his grandchildren, Tyler Whipple of Russell, Kansas, Haley Whipple of Bel Aire, Kansas, Addison Jennings of Hays, Kansas, Cade Jennings of Hays, Kansas, Hendrix, Indi, and Dominie of LaCrosse, Kansas, Natalie Waymire of Hutchinson, Kansas, Ashley Basgall of Hutchison, Kansas, his great-grandchildren, Landon and Blake Waymire of Hutchinson, Kansas, Kamiych Blincoe of Bel Aire, Kansas, and his sister Beverly Kessler White of Leoti, Kansas.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Isabelle, and one sister, Sandra May.
