Roger Allen Cooley passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on April 11, 1945, in Larned, Kansas, the son of Glenn and Dorothy Grate Cooley. He had been a resident of Scott City, Kansas, since 1996, moving from Leoti, Kansas. Roger was a lifetime farmer and owned and operated Cooley’s Carpet Cleaning.

Roger was a member of First Baptist Church.

On October 27, 1964, he married Toni DeWeese in Leoti, Kansas, at the First Presbyterian Church

Survivors include his Wife - Toni Cooley of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sons - R. Craig and Elizabeth of Roscommon, Michigan, Christopher Cooley of Livingston, Texas, One Daugher - Annmarie and Marshal Wright of Tulsa, Oklahoma, One Sister - Diana Fahrenholtz of Granby, Colorado, Eight Grandchildren and One Great- Grandchild

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Two Sisters, and a Brother.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas, with Pastor Kyle Evans presiding.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be written to the Wichita County Amusement Association, First Baptist Church Youth Ski Trip Scholarship, or KJIL Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
