Rose M. Wright, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on January 3, 1955 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of William Oliver and Daisy Marie Reed Wilson. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was a homemaker, farmers wife and most of all a loving grandmother to many.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas.
On March 13, 1971 she married Roy Alvin Wright in Leoti, Kansas. He passed away on October 25, 2022 in Columbus, Nebraska.
Survivors include her Three Daughters - Sara L. Morlan of Scott City, Kansas, Sherry Rouse of Oklahoma, Heather Wright of Dodge City, Kansas, Two Sons - Damyan & Jalisa Wright and family - Declan & Maddie Wright of Oakley, Kansas, Jeff Wright of Pennsylvania, One Daughter in Law - Kim Wright of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - William & Shelly Wilson of Wyoming, Three Sisters - Phyllis Snyder of Scott City, Kansas, LaVera & Kevin Tunis of South Carolina, Susan & John Topolsky of Texas, Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren - Layton & Shylan Wright and family - Paige & Brooke Fisher and Barry Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Luke Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Kooper Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Janee Morlan and Curtis Oldham and family - Jentrie Morlan & Christopher Oldham of Kinsley, Kansas, and Mazee Wright & Curtis Bibles and family - Jeremiah Meikle, and unborn Baby Bibles of Forney, Texas, Two Sister in Laws and Six Brother In Laws.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and One Son - Steve A. Wright.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding.
Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be made to the Rose Wright Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Interment will be held in the Pyramid View Cemetery in Logan County, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026 and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026 at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
