Steven Charles Shelton, age 72, passed away at the Scott County Hospital on, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on March 24, 1953 in Fullerton, Nebraska, the son of Charles Shelton and Betty Jean Baker Shelton Austin. He had been a member of the community sin 1980, moving from Garden City, Kansas. He was a Carpenter for most of his life.

On May 3, 1980, he married Luella (Lou) Zerr in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.

Survivors include his Wife - Luella (Lou) Shelton of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Mandy Benton of Ingalls, Kansas, Two Step Sons - Brent and Shelly Turner of Scott City, Kansas, Curt and Erika Turner of Wamego, Kansas, Three Sisters - Sherry and Robert Brooks of Broomfield Colorado, Nikki and Alan Geier of Wichita, Kansas, Elizabeth and Gil Lewis of Scott City, Kansas, Two Brothers - Allen and Patrice Shelton of Garden City, Kansas, Craig and Patty Shelton of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Washington, Multiple Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, as well as Multiple Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and Grandparents - John Allen and Vernie Mclaughlin Baker, and Jess and Martha Shelton.

There will be no calling times.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Community Christian Church located at 1201 Jackson St, Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Dick Odem.
