Susan E. Richards, age 61, passed away on, Wednesday March 4, 2026 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on January 1, 1965, in Tribune Kansas the daughter of Dan E. and Evalyn Hoffman Wright. She spent half of her life in Scott City, Kansas, where she attended Shallow Water School through eighth grade and graduated from Scott City High School. She then attended Garden City Community College for a year. She held various positions over the years, including roles at Colonial Savings, Prohealth Chiropractic, Women’s Clinic, and Richards Financial Services as an office manager.
Susan was a member of The Church of Nazarene in Scott City, Kansas. Her hobbies included shopping (QVC and Amazon specifically), cooking, reading, gardening, and home improvement projects.
She was previously married to William "Bobby" Lilley, and later married Craig Richards on October 20, 2013, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Survivors include her Husband - Craig Richards of Scott City, Kansas, One Step Daughter - Summer and Samuel Young of Belton, Missouri, Mother - Evalyn Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Two Brothers - Brian and Carolyn Wright of Reeds Spring, Missouri, Greg and Portia Wright of Wichita, Kansas, Parents In-law - G Edward and Patricia Richards of Marshall, Missouri, Brother in law - Kent and Shannon Richards of Lenexa, Kansas, several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and her beloved Dog - Cazzie.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Brother - Larry Wright, and One Nephew - Brett Wright.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026 at the First Baptist in Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Nathan Haeck presiding.
Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be made to the Scott Community Foundation in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Interment will be held in the Scott County Cemetery, in Scott City, Kansas
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
