Troy Lee Ward

Lakin, Kansas   Troy Lee Ward, age 82, died on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Kearny County Hospital in Lakin, Kansas. He was born on December 26, 1937 at the family home in Puxico, Missouri, the son of Raymond and Lucy Sweet Ward. Troy was a resident of Kansas since 1972, having moved from Missouri. He worked in the banking, farming, and trucking industries until he retired. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lakin, Kansas. On September 12, 1959, he married Shirley Jean Williams at the General Baptist Church in Broseley, Missouri. She Survives. Other survivors include: Four Children Katherine (David) White of Lakin, Kansas Mark R. (Elise) Ward of Lubbock, Texas Matthew C. Ward of Lakin, Kansas Rebekah L. (Chad) McCullough of Columbia, South Carolina Two Brother in laws Jim Williams of Lansing, Michigan Bob Williams of Holland, Missouri Half brother and sister in laws Wilma Edgington of California Hazel Alanis of California Sandy Gibson of California Barbara Cole of California David Williams of California Debbie Sutterfield of California Karen Williams of California Ten Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, and Two Foster Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marjorie Crites. Visitation will be from 10-3 at Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City and from 6-8 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lakin on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lakin, Kansas with Pastor Rita Stockton presiding at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Lakin Cemetery in Lakin, Kansas. Memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lakin in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N.
